Park Ridge State School serves the needs of children who come from both semi-rural and urban areas. Many families live to the south of the school on acreage allotments. Whilst the vast majority of our students are Australian born, we have an increasing enrolment of students whose families came from the Pacific Islands and South East Asia. Approximately 4% of the school population, are of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
Park Ridge State School enjoys strong partnerships with its community through the activities of the school and the P&C association.
Park Ridge State School has embraced the Adopt-a-Cop program and our Adopt-a-Cops are actively involved in many of our school events.
The school provides continued access to and use of facilities by community groups. Additionally there is continued involvement with local community businesses and organisations through:
Ongoing communication with local bus transport companies and child care providers
Support of our kids breakfast program
Continued support of P&C multi raffles and prizes
