Our chaplain provides a range of services to our school community. He works with children who have been identified through our Special Needs Committee or through a parent referral. All children who meet with the chaplain on a regular basis have parental permission to do so. A referral form is available from the office.
Children meet with the chaplain for a myriad of reasons-including bereavement in the family, friendship challenges, parent separation, family concerns and more. The chaplain offers a non-judgemental, friendly presence and serves as a trusted adult for students to talk to in a safe and supportive environment.
The chaplain also provides Breakfast club 3 days a week for all students to either have breakfast or grab a little extra snack to help them start the day with energy and focus.
He also supports families within our community by connecting parents to service providers and offering a listening ear during though times.
Our chaplain is out and about throughout the school, connecting with students, parents, and teachers.
