Social and Emotional Learning is taught explicitly through the You Can Do It program. In Semester 1, on alternate Mondays (non assembly weeks) the whole school teaches a lesson from the You Can Do It programme from 2.00 - 3.00.
Teachers teach an aspect from the programme on a needs base for their class. Lessons can focus on the blockers (Nathan Nuisance, Lazy Larry, Angry Annie, Sad Sally, Worried William) or the Keys to Success (Persistence, Resilience, Get Along, Confidence, Organisation) or the Catastrophe Scale.
