The Park
Ridge State School Parents and Citizens Association extends a warm welcome to
all parents. We encourage a very supportive school community to enable us to
support and assist our school in a variety of ways. The P&C are currently
active in many areas throughout our school community. Some of those areas are
the tuckshop, uniform shop and fundraising committee.
Our aim is to
provide services that support the school community as a whole, provide funding
for extra classroom requirements and the school grounds. While working to help
provide some of these extra requirements we also like to have fun and enjoy
ourselves.
Being
involved helps to build a link between parents and our school community. This
also helps parents to have a better understanding of how our school works.
However if you are unable to volunteer your time, you might like to support the
P&C with their various fundraising events throughout the year. The goals
that are set can only be achieved with active support from parents like
yourselves.
Our parent
body helps to make decisions on a large variety of issues that arise, involving
our school. Your contribution to these issues is valuable and helps to make a
decision for the wider school community. It is vital that we have parent input
when we are making decisions for our children or updating and making new
policies which are to be endorsed by the school community.
We encourage you to take an active role within your child's/children's school; attend P&C meetings as your input and contribution is valued; become involved in areas that interest you within our school and participate in as many fundraising activities as possible.
We look forward to seeing you at various P&C activities. Some of the fundraising activities we do are: Colour explosion, Mother's Day stall, Father's Day stall, Disco's, Raffles, Movie nights, sausage sizzle at school events etc. We ask you to assist the school and your children by giving your total support to these P&C activities whenever they occur.
